The THETIS WebGIS platform visualizes datasets from a Spatial Decision Support System for irrigation forecasting at basin scale. Developed under the Italian Space Agency-funded project "EarTH Observation for the Early forecasT of Irrigation needS," the system combines hydrological and crop models with advanced Earth Observation products from SAR and optical sensors. It provides irrigation forecasts at three critical stages throughout the agricultural season, enabling the Reclamation Consortium of Capitanata to optimize water management decisions and distribution.

This privacy notice describes how the website https://teti.irea.cnr.it (Tethis/MyGeo project) manages personal data of users who consult it or interact with its web services.

During registration for access and download of scientific data, the following personal data is requested:

4. Purpose of Processing and Legal Basis
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:
Purpose: To enable your registration, account management, and access to the restricted area for downloading scientific data.
Legal basis: Performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures adopted at your request (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. b) of GDPR), as registration is functional to the use of the download service.
Purpose: To ensure proper website functioning and to ascertain responsibilities in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. f) of GDPR) to ensure the security and operability of its systems.
5. Processing Methods
All protective measures indicated by personal data protection legislation and applicable regulations are implemented. In particular, your data will be processed exclusively by the Controller, the scientific manager, and/or authorized subjects within the framework of the Project implementation exclusively to enable the performance of the aforementioned purpose and all related operations and connected activities.
Data processing occurs through computer and telematic tools, with logic strictly related to the purposes themselves and, in any case, in a way that guarantees data security and confidentiality.
Note on Scientific Data License
This Privacy Policy governs the processing of your personal registration data. The scientific data you download is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution - Non-commercial - ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0) license, whose conditions are separate and not subject to this notice.
6. Retention Period
Registration Data
Your personal data provided for registration will be retained for the entire period your account remains active. In case of prolonged inactivity or upon your request for cancellation, the data will be deleted or made anonymous within a reasonable time for technical and administrative requirements.
Navigation Data
Navigation data is retained for a period not exceeding 12 months.
7. Data Communication and Disclosure
The collected personal data will not be disclosed. They may be communicated to third parties (e.g., technical service providers, hosting providers) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Controller for technical or organizational tasks instrumental to service provision. The updated list of Processors can always be requested from the Data Controller.
